Christmas stories!

Hey everyone!

Today at the library many of us had a great time reading Christmas stories to everyone in the depot.  Every five minutes someone new would read a Christmas story that they had chosen. We read stories from 1 to 2 and had a great crowd the whole day. There was also some hot cider, milk and tons of cookies for everyone to enjoy. I chose to read If You Take a Mouse to the Movies by Laura Numeroff  which is a great little Christmas book and a great addition to Laura Numeroff's If You Give a... series. This was actually my first time reading in front of so many people and though I was a little nervous at first, I had a great time reading and listening to all the stories.

Tomorrow we will be having another great Christmas themed event. From noon to 2 we will have tables set out so everyone can come in and make a sled ornament to put on your tree or even give as a gift. We'll have markers, magazines, tissue paper and Christmas cards that they can use to personallize their ornamement.  Come on in, make some ornaments and maybe even check out a few Christmas books before you leave.

Have a great day and a wonderful Christmas!

Sonya's Saturday Stories

Hello, everyone. Guess what? Today Santa was at the library!!! We had SO MANY people stop and talk with Santa. We had lots of fun. Remember, for those of you who visited Santa, we will post pictures on Facebook, and for those of you who did not want your picture on Facebook, we will get those pictures developed. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!

The other day, a very fashionable girl and her awesome mother said to me, "Where's the Elf?"
... uh...That was certainly a good question! Even I didn't know. Well, today we found him (yay!). He was hiding at Ms. Carol's desk. But now that we found him, he's hidden in a new place. Next time you stop at the library, make sure to keep an eye out for the Elf. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, read this book:

Sonya's Saturday Stories

Well, everyone, it's Saturday once again. We've gotten so many new books in since I last posted, but you know, my absolute favorite right now is Marcel the Shell With Shoes On: Things About Me. The book is based off of a stop-motion video. I recommend you google it and watch it. It's so cute >w<. Marcel...
Check it out (literally)!!!
Meet Marcel, a Shell.
He has shoes and a face, and friends, and a whole life. It's not exactly like your life or mine, so that is what this book is about. That is what it's all about...
